First stop, Charleston!

Our first stop on our cross-country BLUE TRAVELER’S tour was Charleston, SC.

We visited the International African-American Museum,

which is heart-wrenching, holy, and uplifting as it takes visitors through the journey from enslaved captives, struggles for freedom, and ultimately to the present day achievements and continued struggles of the African Amercian community. It’s a journey that will “challenge, illuminate, inspire, and move people to action.” The bust of George Floyd, at the very end of the timeline walk, is like a punch in the gut.

Folly Beach

For great, beachy casual fun, we stopped at the Lowlife Bar at Folly Beach.

The vibe is beachy, casual, laid-back, and seemingly a bit resistant!

Couldn’t agree more.
